08.18 Sextener Rotwand – Croda Rossa die Sesto – 2965m

The Croda Rossa di Sesto, the Sextener Rotwand or the Zehner (tenner) as a part of the Sexten Sundial is a 2965 metres high mountain in the Sexten Dolomites in South Tyrol, Italy. The hard-fought mountain marks a costly and embittered point in the history of World War l in the dolomites. Traces of buildings, caves and battles can be found practically everywhere.  On our tour we went from the cable car station over the meadows of the Rotwandwiesen in Southern direction to the entry of the Via Ferrata (A/B) climbing passage and to the top.
